DUNCAN
Founder of HOV. Growing up in an off-the grid house, Duncan learned Transcendental Meditation at the age of 12, and was introduced to yoga at the age of 16. He spent his summers canoe tripping in northern Canada, and went to school for Performance Dance, and Biomedical Science in Toronto. He started teaching yoga in 2007 and launched his own yoga teacher trainings in 2015. His style of teaching is lighthearted, meaningful and draws on both traditional and contemporary forms of yoga.
Depending on the class, Duncan can be the teacher that cranks the tunes for hot sweaty flows, or the teacher that prioritises slow mindful alignment, or the teacher that embraces quietness and stillness for an introspective experience. Duncan believes its important to meet the student where they are at, and that is why he enjoys teaching different styles of yoga and movement.
